A second consecutive win for the Canadiens, in comeback style. An exciting one for sure, but another morale booster for the team. To be honest, after our first period performance, I thought we were going to pull another "well, they're not in the playoffs, so we'll win without trying," but seemed to turn it around after some energetic shifts from the Begin-Lapierre-Kostopoulos line. Begin in particular, had a good night. 7 hits including one shift where he made at least three. I'm loving what I see of this guy, night in and night out.
Alexei Kovalev, I being his worst critic, seems to be regaining my trust. He now has 3 beautiful goals in as many games. After getting that stupid penalty in the third, he knew he had to make up for it. Sure enough, he gets an assist followed by a goal as the winner. Keep this up, PLEASE Kovy!
Sergei Kositisyn is playing like he wants out of the doghouse. 4 points in 2 games, including 2 goals on the powerplay. Good boy Sergei, here's a treat! Oh and did I mention the powerplay? Montreal has 5 goals in 3 games with the man advantage. Their starting to show some
positive signs here, but they need to move the puck around much quicker. Someone needs to stand right in front of the goalie. To pick up rebounds and block vision.

Game after game he constantly makes game-savers, and last night was no exception. However, his rebound control has got to improve, he burns himself like that sometimes.
Even Laraque is playing better. He absolutely ripped apart another victim in a fight, while respecting him the whole way through. The guy falls, he waited for him to get up, then resumed the fight. You can't spell class without BGL. I like the idea of him on Lang and Tanguay's line. Simple, put him in front of the net, and take a shot, no one can see through this guy.
All in all, it was a good night for Montreal. I like the effort and more goals, finally! Now they take on Carolina. Please, I do NOT want to see another loss to these guys. I'm sick and tired seeing these guys beat us!
By the way, and just food for thought. What number do you think Brendan Shanahan will wear for us? Take it or leave it, you heard it here first.
